The Wicker Bay is a place where Seraphin, a young musk-rat, has settled to start a new, independent life. He makes fiends with Rat, a braggart and wise-guy, who teaches him how to cope with problems and introduces him to other water animals living in The Wicker Bay. As the characters of the series are animals children usually do not know much about, the adventures of little Seraphin give them insight into the secrets of nature.
