The memorable catastrophe in Chernobyl power plant took place on 26th April 1986 at 1:27 am, affecting lives of over 300,000 people inhabiting the surrounding areas of the former USSR territory in a direct manner. The long-term consequences of the released radiation, the biggest in history, are felt to this day and are expected to be still harmful to human health in the next decades. The docudrama reconstructs four days following the disaster from the point of view of Polish communist political and military circles, alarmed by the medical centre for science in Warsaw, as well as reactions of foreign journalists based in Moscow. Poland, the first country on the way of the radioactive cloud, was anxious about possible harm the radiation might bring to people.
