The most demanded titles included such feature movies as Katyń, The Witcher, 80 Million and Copernicus’ Star, series such as Decalogue, With Fire and Sword, By the Backwater, The Secret of the Cipher Tower, animations such as Fantazy the Bear, Tom and Keri, various documentaries as well as formats based on most popular programs.
It proves that TVP productions are recognized and demanded all over the world, including Asia and South America.
– International sales have been among TVP priorities for several years now – says Jacek Rakowiecki, TVP spokesman. – It might have been neglected before but we have been working hard on building our international strength – he admits. It involved a lot of work but the results are more than satisfactory.
– We had to built a strong team and start from scratch. Now the team consists of multilingual, strongly motivated people – says Barbara Bilińska-Kępa, the head of International Affairs Department.
