The first quarter of 2016 was very successful for TVP Commercial Department. More than 20 licenses were sold to partners all over the world.

The most popular title among broadcasters and distributors is Decalogue by Krzysztof Kieślowski. The rights to the digitally remastered and upscaled series and to early Kieślowski’s films: Underpass, The First Love, Staff, Peace and Quiet, A Short Working Day have been acquired by well established distributors such as MK2 and Arrow Films. As a result, the films by one of the most famous Polish directors will be available for cinema lovers in Great Britain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France, Monaco, Andorra, Maurice Island and French overseas territories. A documentary about Krzysztof Kieślowski entitled Still Alive. Krzysztof Kieślowski, directed by Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz will be available on those territories as well.

Popular series Girls From Ukraine was well-received in Poland and now it will be enjoyed in Latvia. The licence was purchased by public Lithuanian broadcaster LRT. Feature films Katyń and Joanna have been popular among international audiences as well. This time both films will be broadcast in China – Katyń at Liaoning TV Station and Joanna at CCTV6.

Grzegorz Kuczeriszka will be available on DVD in Sweden, Little Moscow by Waldemar Krzystek will be displayed in the Turkish Airlines aircrafts and documentary Michał Żyźniewski – Soldier of Light will be broadcast in Ukraine.
