Kadr z domkumentu
"21 x New York" is an intimate portrait of the city and its dwellers. We meet the characters of the document in the New York subway and then we go out with them to the city surface to find out more about their lives, desires, passions, hopes and dreams, some of which were squandered and some are still awaiting completion.
The collection of accounts comprises an emotional story about solitude that accompanies the man who lives in the western society in 21st century.
The document was warmly received at the last Krakow Film Festival. In the prestigious rating of "Gazeta Festiwalowa", important film critics, Tue Steen Müller (Filmkommentaren.dk), Will Tizard (“Variety”), Truls Lie (“NY TID”), Krzysztof Kwiatkowski („Wprost”) and Janusz Wróblewski („Polityka”) unanimously gave the film the highest possible note, which guaranteed the film the first place among the full-length documents presented at the Festival.
European Film Award granted since 1988 is one of the most prestigious awards for European films. Its first winner was Krzysztof Kieslowski for "A Short Film About Killing". This year's awards ceremony will be held in December 10 in Wroclaw, the European Capital of Culture 2016.
