Jan is a young priest who spends all of his spare time helping young drug addicts. His superiors do not approve of his unconventional ways and offer him a study trip to Rome. However, before his departure, the young priest learns that he is HIV positive. From now on Jan's life changes dramatically - he isolates himself from the society in a monastery and devotes himself to prayers. The isolation, however, does not bring relief, and he experiences a crisis of faith. He does not understand why God has put him in such distress. He starts performing physical work and sets up a vegetable garden in the monastery. The lack of tolerance and understating among the monks makes him leave the abbey and embark on a journey. Having lost all hope, he unexpectedly meets a group of three young people who change his life for good. The remarkable script, a great cast, breathtaking landscapes and beautiful music make the film a must see.
