The film directed by Marek Tomasz Pawłowski received Angel Peace Award, one of the two main prizes of the 15th International Film Festival in Monaco (4 - 7 December 2017).

International Film Festival in Monaco has a highly prestigious status, its recipients are influential and opinion-shaping residents of the principality of Monaco. Not only guests, film crews from around the world, but also a 6 jurors from different countries participated in the screening and in the author's meeting. The show was attended by a strong, very enthusiastic representation of local Polish community, which currently resides in Monaco. The festival promotes, extremely important today, non-violent films with a humanitarian message .
"The Touch of the Angel" has made a huge impression on all the viewers and jurors of the festival, who recognized this film as the most conforming with the festival's spirit. Director Marek Tomasz Pawłowski during the awards gala said: The film carries a difficult, but an important message. During the war, the world refused to help the Polish Jews who then could only count on the help of ordinary Poles. The main hero of this documentary, Henryk Schoenker, testifies about this help. The whole story shows that even with a simple, small gesture one can sometimes save a man.
The film is now an absolute record holder - it has won 35 awards, many of them in the United States (including the Gold World Medal of the New York Festivals, the GoldRemi Award Houston, the Impact Docs Award, and recently the Best Documentary Universal Film Festival in Kansas City). Lately, the film was awarded at as many as three festivals at the time, namely in the USA, Romania and Croatia.
