"People and Gods" and "Agony" have been nominated for the Magnolia Award at the Shanghai TV Festival.

Shanghai TV Festival (STVF) was established in 1986. It is the oldest television festival in East Asia, devoted entirely to the tv production. The 27th edition will be held from June 6 to 10, 2021.

“People and Gods” depicts events related to the activities of the armed underground in the structures of the Home Army during WWII in Warsaw. Series creators were inspired by the famous counterintelligence unit established in 1941, one of whose tasks was to eliminate people sentenced by the underground courts. The series was directed by Bodo Kox, while the authors of the script were Wenanty Nosul and Krzysztof Węglarz and the cinematography by Arkadiusz Tomiak and Filip Marcinkiewicz. 

"Agony" is a journey into the world of traditional music. This atmospheric documentary tells the story of folk music legacy passed down from generation to generation and also of its last guardians who were born before WWI and WWII and now are passing away. "Agony" is a story about folk culture of various regions of Poland and the cultural and sociological changes which have shaped Polish identity. The documentary was directed by Tomasz Knittel on the basis of the screenplay by Adam Strug, with the cinematography by Nicolas Villegas.
