It is a story of the Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko who was a courageous chaplain of the Solidarity movement in Poland in the early 1980s. His strong faith, conviction and courage mobilized the nation to stand against the communist regime. He paid the highest price for fighting for freedom and human rights as he was murdered in 1984 by the communist government. Later his heroism and devotion were appreciated by the whole nation. He was beatified on June 6, 2010 in Warsaw and is expected to be canonized.
