It is a contemporary comedy of manners. The main plot revolves around two girls: Irmina and Joanna, who, quite by chance, happen to be sharing a rented apartment together. One of the girls comes from Warsaw, the other one from a small town close to Ukrainian border. The two girls are total opposites, one is talkative and outgoing whereas the other is rather shy and timid. Nevertheless, they find common ground and become friends. Also, their life stories differ significantly, one of them is still naive and trusting while the other has experienced hardship in life. They are both looking for love and life stability, at the same time they are trying to find out what happened to a girl who had rented the apartment before them.
