A story about the fate of an unhappy woman from a noble backwater in Vilnius, her family and events that took place from the beginning of the century to the WWII. The action of the show starts in 1900, when the youngest child of Maria and Andrzej Jurewicz is born and ends in October 1945, when the last Poles are displaced from Vilnius. The authors of the series managed to present the setting of the story in a lively and colourful manner.
