It is a story about two sisters, Alicja – a brilliant art historian and Ewa – a talented art dealer, who handles, not always legitimate, orders for wealthy art collectors. Alicja quits her job as an expert at the Ministry of Culture in Warsaw and returns to Kraków. She helps the police department to chase criminals illegally trading works of art. Meanwhile, her sister Ewa is one of the most important figures of a criminal group robbing valuable treasures. Alicja and Ewa stand on the opposite sides of the barricade. Their relations are complicated and tense. Their mutual lust for beauty will lead to a murder.
